DIRECTIVE NATIONWIDE QUARANTINE  Specified in the Prime Minister's Directive No. 16/CT-TTg 19 The Prime Minister's Directive no. 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 implement the following urgent measures on Covid 19: Carry out nationwide quarantine for 15 days from 12 am of April 01, 2020 between families, neighborhoods/villages, communes, districts, provinces. Workers in factories shall keep a safety distance, wear facemasks, and sanitize the workplace as prescribed. The people are advised to stay at home and only go outside when strictly necessary such as buying food or medicines, providing emergency treatment, going to work at facilities that are allowed to maintain operation to provides essential goods or services, and in other urgent circumstances; maintain a safety distance of 2 m during communication. Do not form groups of more than 2 people outside office buildings, schools, hospitals and in public places. This Directive just to enhance The Ministry of Transport, the People's Committees of provinces to order shutdown of public transportation; restrict movement from one area to another; stop movement from affected areas to other areas except for performance of official tasks, provision of food and essential consumables, transport of workers and specialists of enterprises, transport of raw materials for production. However, depending on each case the temporary residence card can be issued for a different period of time and also required different documents. What is a temporary residence card (TRC)? Expats who want to stay and work in Vietnam need to obtain a temporary residence card. Temporary residence card (TRC) can be considered as a long-term visa. Unlike Visa, the temporary residence card has longer validity, it normally stays valid for 01 year to 05 years. Temporary residence cardholders will be exempted from visa and can save a large amount of time and money for visa application and extension for Vietnam entry, exit, and residence. Regulated entities on regulations of work permit in Vietnam 1. Workers who are foreign citizens moving to Vietnam for employment for the purpose of: Executing the labor contracts; Internal reassignments; Read more 2. Employers of foreign workers include: Enterprises operating in accordance with the Enterprise Law; Foreign or Vietnamese contractors participating in the bidding or executing contracts; Read more Conditions for issuing the work permit in Vietnam for foreigner workers The worker is a manager, chief executive officer, expert or technician. The employment of the foreign worker is approved in writing by a state competent authority. Read more Required papers and application for the work permit in Vietnam An application for the work permit in Vietnam consists of: Certified copy of passport or a substitute for passport or another license for international travel which is unexpired in accordance with the law. 02 color pictures (4cm x 6cm, white background, frontal face, bareheaded and no colorful glasses) that are taken within 06 months ahead of the date of application. The work permit is revoked because the employer or the foreign worker fails in compliance with regulations.
